AIPLA Membership
The Austin Intellectual Property Law Association has three types of memberships–Active, Associate, and Student. We may also, from time to time, elect judges or other public officials as honorary members.
Active Members. Any person who is a member in good standing of any state bar (including that of the District of Columbia), who resides in the Central Texas area, and is actively engaged in the profession of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, copyright, and/or related law, may apply to become an active member of the Association.
Associate Members. Any person who is a member in good standing of any state bar (including that of the District of Columbia) or any registered Patent Agent or other person interested in patent, trademark, copyright, and/or related law may apply to become an associate member. Associate members shall be entitled to all privileges conferred upon active members except those of voting and holding office.
Student Members. Any student in good standing at any ABA accredited law school who is interested in patent, trademark, copyright, and/or related law may apply to become a student member. Student members shall be entitled to all privileges conferred upon active members except those of voting and holding office.
Membership Dues. Annual membership dues are $45.00 for active and associate members, and $15.00 for student members. Membership dues are payable in January and are not prorated for new members who join the Association mid-year.
